Your Hosts
Rob & Michelle Watson have joyfully called Kanga Views home for the past 27 years, gaining a profound understanding of the surrounding area and the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Situated next to Arthurs Seat State Park, their property boasts breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait, offering a sanctuary for both them and the local wildlife. By intentionally leaving three sides of their land unfenced, they permit native animals to roam freely, fostering a harmonious coexistence. Regular visitors include 30-year-old kangaroos that love to graze in the backyard, occasionally nibbling on their newly planted native flora.
Recently, Robert & Michelle have chosen to share this exquisite location as boutique accommodation, inviting couples seeking a romantic retreat to experience the tranquil peace of the bush and appreciate the unique local flora and fauna. In addition to their serene surroundings, they've created a vineyard, ideal for growing grapes, alongside an orchard and vegetable garden—all securely fenced to keep the hungry kangaroos at bay.
Guests can also indulge in the abundant birdlife, with the enchanting dusk feeding being a particularly memorable highlight, as various species flock to the bird feeders, making this luxury getaway in Rosebud truly special.
